Vikram And Producer Thanu Is In Great Shock

The crew of Kandasamy including its hero Vikram and Producer Thanu is in great shock and disappointment. Nearly 30 out of the 120 film rolls that were used for the shooting in the exotic locations of Mexico recently have been found damaged.

Normally for films that are shot abroad, the film rolls are prevented from getting 'scanned' at the airport by the security staff, if the crew provides enough proof to the airport authorities that those film rolls are used ones. It seems that this formality hasn't been followed in this instance.

Director Susi Ganesan and the cameraman Eka are accusing that the airport staffs have 'mishandled' the film rolls. But some of the unit members say that it could be the fault of the unit itself as they were extremely casual in attitude.

'Kalaipuli' Thanu is very upset as all the efforts and crores of money spent in Mexico has been wasted. After realising the importance of those damaged rolls, Thanu gave idea to the director to fly again to Mexico to shooting those scenes in the same locations. But after hearing some of his close friend's idea, he instructed the director to shoot the remaining portions and the climax in Binny mills.

Vikram’s Kanthaswamy Team In Hyderabad

Vikram’s Kanthaswamy with Shriya as eye candy has landed in Hyderabad, after filming some scenes abroad.

Directed by Susi Ganesan, Kalaipuli S. Dhanu is producing this flick simultaneously in Telugu with the title Mallanna. Both Telugu and Tamil versions have been in the news right from the launch, when expensive video invitations, reportedly costing Rs. 15,000 each, were sent to the key movers and shakers of the South Indian film industry.

Recently, the Mallanna/ Kanthaswamy unit flew to Mexico to film some very important scenes. Now that they are back, the producer intends to start the next schedule from July 23rd at Ramoji Film City and Film Nagar in Hyderabad.

Indrajith Debuting As Villain In "Kanthasamy"

Indrajith, elder brother of Prithviraj and a popular actor in Malayalam is making his debut in Tamil with Vikram’s Kanthasamy.

Indrajith is the elder son of late Malayalam actor Sukumaran and actress Mallika Sukumaran who chucked his job as a software engineer to act in films. He paired with his brother Prithviraj Sukumaran in several films including the 2006 blockbuster Classmates. He also acted in Santhosh Sivan’s first Hollywood movie Road to the Top.

Chiyaan Vikram Acts In Mani Rathnam Movie

Its not Rajini, but Vikram is going to do in Manirathnam's next movie. When Rajini met Manirathanam in the laters office, there were news that Rajini is going to do a movie directed by Manirathnam.
But, now there is a confirmed news that Vikram is going to lead the movie. Vikram has told several times that it is one of his dreams to act in ace director Mani Rathnam’s film. Now the dream has come true. It is learnt from reliable sources that Madras Talkies has roped in the talented actor for a film

The exciting combination of Mani - Vikram, however, will not take place in the near future. We have to wait for at least one and half years to see them coming together. Mani Rathnam is now busy shaping up the script of his Hindi movie featuring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead while Vikram is busy with 'Kanthaswamy'. He will have to finish two projects with K.S. Ravikumar and Ameer before coming to the movie made by Mani Rathnam. By 2009, i.e. next year, we will see the outstanding director and an amazing actor joining hands. It is needless to say that the wait is worth it.

Vikram Turns Playback Singer

For the first time, actor Vikram has sung a duet along with Suchitra in Susi Ganesan's mega venture Kanthasamy. The song goes like this: Excuse me Mr. Kandasamy... and will be picturised with Vikram and Shreya in lovely locations.

Latest music sensation Devisri Prasad scores music for this song and the song has already become popular among the music lovers. Because at the launch of the film, a few months back a special trailer was made for the occasion, where 45 second bit of the song was played in the background. In all the trailers of Kandasamy also this song has included.

Now Susi and music director Devi has reworked the song, and provided more pep to this number. Play back singing is not a new experience to Vikram. He already rendered a song for himself in AVM's black buster movie Gemini in Bharadhwaj's music.

Vikram Acts With Sneha Again

Actress Sneha is going to act with Vikram for the second time after a long gap. Both the talented actors have worked together for the first time in the movie King directed by Prabhu Solomon. The pair will return after six years for a new film again.

KS Ravikumar is going to direct this yet to be titled film for Mohan Natarajan's Rajakaliyamman Medias. The director officially signed the film yesterday and has started his final script work and crew.

He has approached one more actress to share the screen with Vikram and Sneha. Vikram will come to this project once he completed the talkie portions of Kandasamy. The shooting will start by the second week of June, said a close source to the producer.

Krishna To Star In Kandasamy

Krishna is one of the yesteryears super stars of Telugu filmdom, has now been roped in to play an important role in the Tamil magnum opus Kandasamy. Directed by Susi Ganesan, the Vikram-Shreya starer project will be made in a whopping budget of 45 crores which is produced by Kalaipuli Thaanu.Krishna has acted as hero in more than 350 films.
His last Tamil film was the Rajnikanth starrer Ram Robert Rahim, way back in 1980. Krishna is also a renowned director, editor and producer in the Telugu industry and his son Mahesh Babu is the present Super Star who is ruling the Tollywood now.
